Coaching Built Around You. Not a Template.
JAX LIBERTY FITNESS Every client at Jax Liberty Fitness trains on a program that was written specifically for them. Not a template. Not a generic beginner plan. A program built around your body, your training history, your schedule, and your goals — and updated after every training session based on how you're actually performing.
That's the thing that's different here. You're not paying for access to a gym. You're not paying for someone to stand next to you and count reps. You're paying for a coaching relationship — one where Rick knows your numbers, watches your lifts, and programs your next session based on what happened in your last one.

What a session looks like:
Rick reviews your numbers before you arrive. He loads the bar. While you lift, he coaches you in real time — cueing your technique mid-rep, correcting what needs to be corrected, reinforcing what's working. After each set, you debrief.
After the session, your performance data feeds directly into your next program. The weights that felt heavy last week become your new starting point. The technique issue that showed up on your squat gets addressed in how the next cycle is structured.Your program lives in TrueCoach — the coaching app Rick uses to deliver your programming, track your sessions, and communicate between workouts. You can log notes from every session, message Rick directly, and see your progress over time. Rick sees all of it and programs accordingly.
This is a coaching relationship, not a personal training session.

Semi-private coaching runs the same way as 1-on-1 coaching — individualized program, live coaching and cueing on every lift, real-time feedback — with one other person training alongside you. Both clients have their own program. Both clients are on their own progression. You are not following the same workout. You are training in the same session. Rick coaches both clients the same way he coaches a solo session — watching every rep, cueing in real time, giving individual feedback. No one is on autopilot.
This option works well for training partners, couples, or two clients whose schedules align. Rick determines compatibility during the Intro to Barbell session.
Your program is delivered through TrueCoach. All notes, video, and communication happen there.

Group coaching at Jax Liberty Fitness is not a group fitness class. It is coached barbell training in a small private group setting. Every client in a group session has their own individualized program. You are not all doing the same thing. Rick writes a program for each person based on their starting point, their history, and their goals.
While you're lifting, Rick is watching — the same way he watches a private session. He cues you during your lift. He gives you feedback after. The group is small enough that nobody goes uncoached. The difference between group coaching and private coaching is not the quality of coaching. It's the amount of time Rick spends exclusively with you versus rotating between clients.
For many people — especially those who have completed the Intro and know the movements — group coaching is the right model Your program is delivered through TrueCoach. Between sessions, you can log notes, message Rick, and track your progress. Rick reviews your data before your next session and programs accordingly.
Limited availability — group sessions have a maximum of 4 clients.

Same programming. Same coaching. Train anywhere.
Online coaching delivers the same individualized programming as in-person coaching — built around your body, your goals, and your performance data — without the requirement to train at Jax Liberty Fitness.
You train at whatever gym you have access to. Rick programs your sessions through TrueCoach.
Here's how the coaching relationship works:
Your program arrives in TrueCoach before your first session. Three sessions per week, built around the four barbell lifts. Each session is detailed — exercises, sets, reps, loading, coaching notes explaining the why behind each piece.
After your sessions, you log your numbers and submit video of your lifts. Rick watches your video and sends back specific coaching notes — exactly what he would say to you in person, delivered through the app.
After each training cycle, Rick updates your program based on your actual performance. What got easier? What stalled? Where did your technique break down under load? The program adapts. This is what makes it a living, breathing coaching relationship — not a static template.
Between sessions, you have direct access to Rick through TrueCoach. Questions, concerns, adjustments — Rick is the person who responds.
This is not an app subscription. It is a coaching relationship delivered through an app.
FSA/HSA eligible. Itemized receipts provided. No contract. Cancel anytime.

What 'Individualized Programming' Actually Means
The word 'programming' gets used a lot in fitness. Here's what it actually means in this context — and why it matters.
A program is not a list of exercises. It's a system.
Rick programs in three-session training weeks built around the four fundamental barbell lifts: squat, deadlift, bench press, and overhead press. These are the movements that build more functional strength than anything else you can do in a gym. They use the most muscle mass, produce the strongest physiological response, and carry over directly into real life.
What makes the programming individualized is not just that the weights are different for each person. It's that the entire structure — what you lift, in what order, how much, how often, and how that changes over time — is determined by your specific situation and updated based on your actual performance data.
Rick uses a method called linear progression: your weights increase from session to session as long as you're recovering and performing well. When they stop increasing — because progress always slows eventually — he adjusts. This is programming as an ongoing decision-making process, not a fixed plan.
This is what separates a coach from an app. An app doesn't know that your sleep was terrible this week. It doesn't know that your left hip was uncomfortable in the squat. It doesn't know that you hit a personal record on the deadlift and might be ready to push harder. Rick does — because you tell him, and because he's watching.
What Coaching Looks Like In the Gym
Before a session, Rick reviews your program and knows exactly what you're doing that day. He loads the bar for you. He sets up the equipment for your body.
While you're lifting, he's watching — not glancing over, but actively observing your movement with 20+ years of experience behind his eyes. And while you're in the middle of a rep, he may cue you.
A cue is a brief, specific instruction delivered in real time — while the lift is happening. It might be a single word, a thought, a physical reference point. 'Push the floor away.' 'Chest up.' 'Drive your hips through.' The right cue at the right moment can change a movement pattern that would otherwise take months of guesswork to fix on your own.
After each set, Rick gives you feedback. What he saw. What worked. What to focus on next set.
This is true whether you're in a 1-on-1 session, a semi-private session, or a group session. Every client, every set, Rick is watching. Nobody lifts without being coached.
This is not CrossFit — where the goal is intensity and time. There is no clock here. The goal is form, technique, and safety. A lift done correctly at lower weight will build more strength over time than a heavy lift done wrong. Rick takes that seriously, which is why every client makes consistent, measurable progress.
